I guess I'll have to change my profile again, at least concerning my job. I am now being moved completely into the grocery department, once they replace me in receiving and file maintenance.
My pay grade is a supervisor and they would like me to be in more of a supervisory position rather than filling in for other positions, they could get a lower pay grade to do that. This is fine with me and actually I'm quite excited about it. I will be getting my own aisle to take care of which is the paper and cleaning products aisle. I did my first order with the Telxon the other day and also did a few plan-a-grams. Whenever I have a grocery shift I'm in my aisle, taking care of it and trying to get my back stock under control because no one is really looking after it at present except for me. I still have receiving and file maintenance shifts which makes it difficult but I do what I can.
The only downfall is that I will have to do one or two closing shifts per week, but that could turn out good as well because I'll have time to do some things that I need to do in the morning, before I have to work at 2:00pm. The upside is that I won't have any more six o'clock in the morning start times. The earliest I'll have to start is seven and some of the shifts start at eight and nine. That will be very nice for a change.
